Introducing Healthview III Integrator

FAA APPROVES TURBO O2 MAKERS FOR PART 23 Reading Introducing Healthview III Integrator 6 minutes

We are super excited to announce the introduction of the Healthview III Integrator.  This will arguably be the most technically innovative product ever introduced for aviation health safety.  It simplifies our entire product line, integrates sensors, outputs, and hardwired serial communication with all of our products, and offers superior versatility with avionics support, including serial or voltage outputs to Garmin, Advanced, Dynon, and the Air Avionics ATD series of avionics.  Moreover, we've packaged this small device in a machined anodized and laser etched aluminum housing and added industry standard DSUB connectors and integrated AN-3 threads to make installation cleaner.

At its core, the Healthview III includes the Shield technology to provide reliable sensitive carbon monoxide detection with no-recalibration for 10 years, including a 10 year warranty.  But read on to see why the Healthview III is now so much more.

CARBON MONOXIDE NATIVE

The Healthview III includes embedded Aithre Shield carbon monoxide sensor technology.   The outputs supported are analog voltage for SV-EMS and GEA-24, Advanced RS-232, Air ATD avionics ATD-57, 80, 11, and an eDOT style glowing panel indicator.  This is absolutely a huge step forward for the Shield devices, which have since been separate devices for different functionalities, and which have relied on wireless communications.

ILLYRIAN HARDWIRED

The Healthview III supports ... finally ... hardwired Illyrian oximeter connections for up to pilot and copilot stations.  An optional small micro USB port can connect to the Healthview III to both power the Illyrian using ship power, and receive dedicated SPO2, heart rate, heart rate variability, signal sample strength, and head movement for both passengers.  This data is all output to the Air ATD avionics, or for the pilot only, SPO2 is output as analog voltage for the GEA-24 and SV-EMS.

TURBO, AVI OXYGEN SYSTEM CONTROL AND MONITORING

The Healthview III continues to support 1-6 stations for Avi pulse demand oxygen systems, and up to 2 Turbo oxygen maker systems.  The Healthview III also supports dual channels with a combination of Avi or Turbo systems for hybrid installations - all in one device.  The control includes Avi altitude adjusted oxygen dosing as well as oxygen injection control for the Turbo systems, with user dosing adjustments fully supported.  Monitoring includes respiration rate, flow rate, operating temperatures, and many other variables depending on which system is connected.

AIR ATD AVIONICS

While the Healthview III can be used standalone with analog voltage or serial outputs for pilot SPO2 and carbon monoxide for the GEA-24 and SV-EMS, the Healthview III can be optionally connected to the Air ATD-11, 57, or 80 for up to 60 fields presented in a customizable user interface.  The Air Avionics ATD can also be used for ADS-B and FLARM weather and traffic, and matching hardware is available in the ACD series for com radio, transponder, and pressure altimeter companion functionality.

MESO STANDALONE

Many glider customers have been asking for reliable oxygen pressure output, and the Healthview III delivers with full support for the Aithre Meso oxygen pressure input, which is fed to a connected Air ATD avionics screen along with available SPO2, heart rate, heart rate variability, and head movement information when used with the Illyrian.

AITHRE METIS NATIVE

The Metis has been an increasingly popular product with unique outside temperature, dewpoint, and humidity monitoring.  However, the separate Metis housing and power requirements have sometimes made it an obstacle to installation.  The Healthview III has power and data support for the Metis sensor, which when connected outputs all Metis parameters to the ATD avionics for monitoring.  This simplification will make the Metis more viable for more installations with safer dewpoint monitoring during flight.

28V POWER WITH DSUB PINOUT

The Healthview III has a DSUB 26HD pin connector and a DSUB 15HD connector. The latter is used exclusively for connection to the Air Avionics ATD series of devices.  The DSUB 26 does all the heavy lifting with power input supported for 28V.

  • Pilot Illyrian oximeter power, ground, and data
  • Pax1 or Copilot Illyrian oximeter power, ground, and data
  • Metis OAT and dewpoint power, ground, and data
  • Meso PSI power, ground, and data
  • AVI or Turbo channel 1
  • AVI or Turbo channel 2
  • RS-232 Output
  • Shield carbon monoxide analog voltage output
  • Illyrian pilot SPO2 analog voltage output
  • Air Avionics ATD power, ground, and com channel

AITHRE CONNECT iOS

While the Healthview III features full hardwired connections or embedded sensors for reliable and timely communication links, we retained full support for the Aithre Connect iOS app.  The trend plotting for carbon monoxide and some of the feature rich Siri and popup notifications are hard to replace and many customers rely on this data for safety.  The app is never required, but continues to be available with the same support that would otherwise be present with separate Shield and Metis functions.

EASY DROP-IN INSTALLATIONS

Existing Shield 2.0, Shield 3.0, Shield eDOT 5.0, Metis, Healthview I, and Healthview II products can be replaced with the Healthview III using all of the same wiring hookups.  Prior installations of Shield, Metis, and Healthview I/II products can all be reduced to a single Healthview III with most of the same functionality.

The Healthview III is poised to be a must for existing aircraft owners and new aircraft builders.  Call or email us or talk with your installer today to make plans for installing the latest health safety technology in your aircraft.
