For new systems, please note the HealthView I or HealthView II or Healthview III is standard with all AVI and Turbo O2i oxygen systems and is not required to be purchased separately.

Healthview III is preorder only with first shipments in March 2026.

The Healthview III is arguably be the most technically innovative product ever introduced for aviation health safety.  It simplifies our entire product line, integrates sensors, outputs, provides hardwired serial communication with all of our products, and offers superior versatility with avionics support, including serial or voltage outputs to Garmin, Advanced, Dynon, and the Air Avionics ATD series of avionics.  Moreover, we've packaged this small device in a machined anodized and laser etched aluminum housing and added industry standard DSUB connectors and integrated AN-3 threads to make installation cleaner.

At its core, the Healthview III includes the Shield carbon monoxide detector technology to provide reliable and sensitive carbon monoxide detection with no-recalibration for 10 years, including a 10 year warranty.  It is usable standalone or optionally with the Air ATD avionics, Aithre oxygen systems, or other Aithre devices.

CARBON MONOXIDE NATIVE

The Healthview III includes embedded Aithre Shield carbon monoxide sensor technology.   The outputs supported are analog voltage for SV-EMS and GEA-24, Advanced RS-232, Air ATD avionics ATD-57, 80, 11, and an eDOT style glowing panel indicator.  This is absolutely a huge step forward for the Shield devices, which have since been separate devices for different functionalities, and which have relied more on wireless communications.

ILLYRIAN HARDWIRED

The Healthview III supports hardwired Illyrian oximeter connections for up to pilot and copilot stations.  An optional small micro USB port can connect to the Healthview III to both power the Illyrian using ship power, and receive dedicated SPO2, heart rate, heart rate variability, signal sample strength, and head movement for both passengers.  This data is all output to the Air ATD avionics, or for the pilot only, SPO2 is output as analog voltage for the GEA-24 and SV-EMS.  An Illyrian with hardware version 4 and the Aithre micro USB Illyrian port is required for this optional functionality.

TURBO, AVI OXYGEN SYSTEM CONTROL AND MONITORING

The Healthview III continues to support 1-6 stations for Avi pulse demand oxygen systems, and up to 2 Turbo oxygen maker systems.  The Healthview III also supports dual channels with a combination of Avi or Turbo systems for hybrid installations.  The control includes Avi altitude adjusted oxygen dosing as well as oxygen injection control for the Turbo systems, with user dosing adjustments fully supported.  Monitoring includes respiration rate, flow rate, operating temperatures, and many other variables depending on which system is connected.  The Air ATD avionics and the Turbo or Avi system is required for this optional functionality.

AIR ATD AVIONICS

While the Healthview III can be used standalone with analog voltage or serial outputs for pilot SPO2 and carbon monoxide for the GEA-24 and SV-EMS, the Healthview III can be optionally connected to the Air ATD-11, 57, or 80 for up to 60 fields presented in a customizable user interface.  The Air ATD avionics can also be used for ADS-B and FLARM weather and traffic, and matching hardware is available in the ACD series for com radio, transponder, and pressure altimeter companion functionality.

MESO STANDALONE

The Healthview III has full support for a standalone Aithre Meso oxygen pressure input associated with an oxygen cylinder, The O2 pressure readings are fed to a connected Air ATD avionics screen along with available SPO2, heart rate, heart rate variability, and head movement information when used with the Illyrian.  The Air ATD avionics and the Aithre Meso hardwired version is required for this optional functionality.

AITHRE METIS NATIVE

The Metis has been an increasingly popular product with unique outside temperature, dewpoint, and humidity monitoring at the wing.  However, the separate Metis housing and power requirements have sometimes presented obstacles to installation.  The Healthview III has support for the Metis probe, which when connected outputs all Metis parameters to the Air ATD avionics for monitoring.  The Air ATD and the Aithre Metis sensor probe are required for this optional functionality.

28V POWER WITH DSUB PINOUT

The Healthview III has a DSUB 26HD pin connector and a DSUB 15HD connector. The latter is used exclusively for connection to the Air Avionics ATD series of devices, which is optional depending on the functionality desired.  The DSUB 26 does all the heavy lifting with power input supported for 28V.

  • Pilot Illyrian oximeter power, ground, and data
  • Pax1 or Copilot Illyrian oximeter power, ground, and data
  • Metis OAT and dewpoint power, ground, and data
  • Meso PSI power, ground, and data
  • AVI or Turbo channel 1
  • AVI or Turbo channel 2
  • RS-232 Output
  • Shield carbon monoxide analog voltage output
  • Illyrian pilot SPO2 analog voltage output

AITHRE CONNECT iOS

While the Healthview III features full hardwired connections or embedded sensors for reliable and timely communication links, we retained full support for the Aithre Connect iOS app.  The trend plotting for carbon monoxide and some of the feature rich Siri and popup notifications are hard to replace and many customers rely on this data for safety.  The app is never required, but continues to be available with the same support that would otherwise be present with separate Shield and Metis functions.

EASY DROP-IN INSTALLATIONS

Existing Shield 2.0, Shield 3.0, Shield eDOT 5.0, Metis, Healthview I, and Healthview II Data Bridge products can be replaced with the Healthview III using all of the same wiring hookups.  Prior installations of Shield, Metis, and Healthview I/II products can all be reduced to a single Healthview III with most of the same functionality.

The Healthview III is poised to be a must for existing aircraft owners and new aircraft builders.  Call or email us or talk with your installer today to make plans for installing the latest health safety technology in your aircraft.

WHEN USED WITH OPTIONAL AIR ATD AVIONICS

The HealthView III optionally can be used with the Air Avionics ATD-57, ATD-11, or ATD-80 display unit.  The ATD is panel mounted in a standard dial cutouts or using a 1/4" camera-type socket, depending on the ATD model selected.  The HealthView III is remote mounted behind paneling and serves as a data link between the ATD and all Aithre devices.  The HealthView III is reverse compatible with all HealthView I and Healthview II equipped systems using the same existing wiring.

The HealthView III with the ATD features over 60 customizable health fields across up to 9 custom pages with per station control of oxygen dosing and Turbo injection control.  All Aithre devices and their associated data will display either via BLE or the serial communication channels, including its embedded Shield and Metis, Meso, AVI24EX, AVI64, AVI128, AVI-G, Turbo Digital, and Turbo O2i, and Illyrian products.

The real power lies in the HealthView III with the ATD is its ability to dynamically expand to feature any available Aithre device, including installed AVI oxygen systems or the installed Aithre Turbo oxygen maker systems.

When used with the installed AVI oxygen systems, the HealthView III and ATD outputs flow rate per station and controls the same using dedicated serial communication, including pulse dosage based on pressure altitude.  The HealthView III with the ATD  provides granular control of the dosage on a per station basis, and includes an armed mode function that automatically turns the oxygen on and off using threshold triggers.  These thresholds can include parameters of pressure altitude, SPO2, heart rate, and carbon monoxide.

When used with the Turbo Digital and Oxygen Injection (O2i) system, the HealthView III and ATD outputs flow rate, temperature, and fault indications. For the O2i system, the injection mode operates to begin supplementing the concentrated oxygen with pressurized oxygen, beginning above a user-definable threshold altitude.

The HealthView III comes standard with support for both a single serial channel for a Turbo or AVI system connection, and a dual serial channel for AVI/Turbo combo or hybrid system.
