Metis OAT and Dewpoint Sensor Probe for HealthView III

Approved for certified and experimental aircraft, the Metis extends Aithre's oxygen systems and health technology to monitoring in-flight atmospheric conditions.  Using a single under-the-wing elegant probe, the Metis provides real-time temperature, humidity, and dewpoint readings, enabling you to monitor for freezing levels and cloud levels relative to your aircraft. 

This Metis sensor probe is designed to be used with the HealthView III and will not function independently.  See the Metis device listing for a standalone version that operates independently of the HealthView III.

The Metis sensor probe hooks directly up to the HealthView III for power, ground, and data communications.  The HealthView III includes the Metis technology and uses the sensor probe to capture outside air temperature, humidity, and dewpoint readings.  These parameters are then output from the HealthView III via analog outputs, the ATD avionics, and/or the Aithre Connect iOS app.  

With the HealthView III, the analog output is for outside air temperature OAT only, which connects to the GEA24 or SV-EMS for a graphical EFIS indication.  The analog output is a simple voltage that is linear to the temperature.

The HealthView III outputs all of the OAT, humidity, and dewpoint information to the ATD avionics, complementing the carbon monoxide and cabin temperature environmental data already captured natively by the HealthView III.  While the ATD allows for customization, the OAT, humidity, dewpoint, carbon monoxide, and cabin temperature are featured as a default cabin/environment template.  This provides a snapshot of the most important environmental conditions inside and outside the aircraft in one compact instrument.  

Additionally, the HealthView II is enabled for wireless communication to the Aithre Connect iOS app to put the same data on your Apple iPhone or iPAD device.  

The FAA has approved the Metis under NORSEE for installation in all Part 23 aircraft. Any make, any model, any year, including all Beechcraft, Mooney, Cirrus, Cessna, Diamond, Pipers, and every other aircraft certified and flown under Part 23. The simple installation can be performed by any A&P as a minor alteration with a logbook entry.
