Illyrian Hardwire Panel Connector for HealthView III

The HealthView III supports hardwired Illyrian II oximeter connections for up to pilot and copilot stations.  While the Illyrian II pilot and copilot stations will appear on the HealthView III wirelessly when used with the Aithre Connect iOS app, the hardware panel connectors offer a number of advantages.  

The panel connector is a micro USB port that is designed as a single plug for both Illyrian II power and for data exchange.  Simply plugging the Illyrian II into the panel connector will turn the Illyrian on and begin feeding serial data of blood oxygen, heart rate, and other parameters directly to the HealthView III and to the associated ATD avionics.  The refresh rate is substantially improved over wireless only Illyrian connections, with around 15 seconds between continuous oximeter readings.  

The Illyrian II is more than an oximeter, as it includes a 3-axis gyroscope, pressure altimeter, and a heart rate variability monitor, for head movement, cabin depressurization, sample strength, and focus level information.  In the past, this information was only available on the Aithre Connect iOS app, but the same information is now also passed as serial data with blood oxygen information through the panel connector for the ATD avionics.   

In addition to outputting the oximeter information to the ATD and to the Aithre Connect iOS app, the HealthView III further provides an analog voltage output of pilot SPO2 for the GEA-24 and SV-EMS engine modules.  This is a simple voltage that is linear to the SPO2 level, which can be expressed on the EFIS as a graphical gauge.  

When two panel connectors are used with two Illyrian II devices, the HealthView III stores the Illyrian II devices in the order of first connection.  The pilot and copilot positions are thereafter stored in long term memory and can be re-ordered using either the ATD avionics or the Aithre Connect iOS app.  

This panel connector does not include the Illyrian II or the HealthView III and these must be used together to receive and output the oximeter information.  Note that the Illyrian II will continue to operate independently using any USB power with wireless data to the Aithre Connect iOS app and to the HealthView III.
