We visited Scott at Hooker for some new seatbelts for our RV-10. We have Crow because they were cheap and looked OK, but they didn't fit the colors or style of the rest of our finishes. After talking with Scott, we immediately confirmed he was an expert in belts by asking us if our Crow seatbelts got loose during flight. Um - yeah they do. The more you sit there, the more the seatbelts magically somehow come completely placid. Constant securing and reminding the family to secure was part of the checklists. Scott showed us how the Hooker belts wouldn't do that and why the finishes were worth the price.
We paid for the seatbelts right there at the show and used photos to match the colors and textures.
After paying I asked, 'Hey Scott, would you put an AITHRE pocket on these belts for our cannulas and USB power for our wearable oximeter?' No better way to find a partner than to grease the wheels with a little money!
I figured something small and using the fabric of the belts. But Scott, demonstrating his precision approach, went further and found some semi-elastic durable fabric and paid for the silkscreening himself. At his request, we also sent a AITHRE USB power bank so that the pocket could be tailored to our devices.
After a couple of months, we are super stoked to have the most amazing aircraft seatbelts. The attention to detail with the stitching, fabric, securing bands, and buckle texture is superb. And, the pocket looks and works better than we could ever have expected.
